EF+Math Convening: Outputs

It was great to meet you all at the EF+Math Convening in Chicago (November 7-9, 2019). We hope you found the convening useful to meet potential team members and co-create ideas together. To help continue the process, we are sharing some key outputs from the workshop with you.

In the convening, we aimed to create multiple opportunities for potential team members to meet and collect themselves around shared concept ideas. We also used productive peer-evaluation and expertise from educators and mentors to further catalyze and refine thinking (you can see the high-level agenda from the convening).

  • Project Team Members: You can find a list with each project as well as who worked on each project here.

  • Project Materials: You can find a folder for each project here. Each project folder has a video of the final presentation, photographs of the flip-charts used for presentations, and also photographs of the ‘Pluses, Potentials, Concerns/Overcomes’ feedback.

  • Glossary Wall: You can view a photo of the glossary wall from the convening here

Continue Momentum

It is our hope that the momentum generated in Chicago around creating a new model for education innovation--inclusive R&D--will sustain beyond the Concept Note submission phase and into building a sustainable community of researchers, educators, and developers interested in co-creating solutions to grand challenges in education. To that end, please take a few minutes to fill out this survey to let us know about your experience at the convening and any suggestions to keep this community connected.

Connect with Collaborators

The purpose of the Team Development Process is to help you meet people with whom you might want to collaborate.  So come with an open mind and an open hand, ready to meet potential collaborators, all of whom have an interest in helping underserved students become powerful math learners.  We'll create many opportunities to have conversations with different people, but it might help to take a look at the member page to see if there's someone in particular you'd like to meet.
