Welcome to the Workshop.
We are delighted that you will be part of the Microbial Systematics for the Next Decade I workshop. In preparation for the workshop, we would like you to do three things:

Event description
The workshop brings together 20 participants from the broad fields of microbial systematics, microbial ecology, evolutionary biology, and eukaryotic systematics. The ambitious goal of the workshop is to develop a publication recommending a path forward to deal with the taxonomy and nomenclature of uncultivated microorganisms (mostly metagenome-assembled genomes and single-amplified genomes). In preparation for the workshop we will lead a series of 4 hour-long online seminars in Date.
The seminars, and their related discussions, will provide the framework for the onsite meeting. The workshop meeting will involve a few presentations, but mostly discussions on key issues/roadblocks and writing working groups. We intend to have a draft of a publication recommending action by the end of the meeting. Participants will arrive on Date. We will meet on Date.
