Graduate Statistics Education at a Crossroads
Webinar: October 26th, 2018 noon - 1 pm ET (link to recording)
Please join us as we discuss the transformation of graduate education in Statistics. We will hear thoughts challenging current programs from leading researchers and educators and then move into breakout spaces where we can discuss amongst colleagues.
The speakers will be:
Julie Novak, Senior Data Scientist, Netflix
Michael Rappa, Director of the Institute for Advanced Analytics, NCSU
Renata Rawlings-Goss, Director of the South Big Data Innovation Hub, Georgia Tech
Padhraic Smyth, Director of the Data Science Initiative, UC Irvine
The ideas submitted via the online meeting will inform the discussions at a subsequent 2-day workshop.
