What would you like us to know about you?Clare Hinrichs is Professor of Rural Sociology at the Pennsylvania State University in the United States. Her research examines social organization, knowledge production and politics in transitions to sustainable food and agricultural systems. Her work includes both discipline-focused research projects and larger multi-institutional, interdisciplinary collaborations and it has been funded by the National Science Foundation, USDA-NIFA, and state and local organizations. She was a 2006 ESRC-SSRC Fellow in Rural Economy and Land Use at Newcastle University (UK) and served as President of the Agriculture, Food and Human Values Society in 2013. In fall 2015, she was a Visiting Fellow at the Berkeley Food Institute at the University of California, Berkeley. In spring 2015, she was a Visiting Scholar in the Institute for Environmental Social Sciences and Geography at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg in Germany.
