What would you like us to know about you?
I am currently a staff pediatrician/ child psychiatrist at Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health, Bangkok, Thailand and an adjunct faculty in the Diploma program in CBT training at Chulalongkorn University.
My main interests focus on mental health issues in physically ill children and their families and parental psychopathology that presenting as physical illness of children including child abuse, medical trauma, anxiety disorders in pediatric setting. Another area of my passion involves developing culturally relevant tools that can be used in real- world practice and how evidence- based intervention can be translated, disseminated, and applied. In 2015, I have teamed up with a group of my Thai colleagues who have expertise in Learning Design and Technology, Strategic innovation and Information Technology combining social media ( facebook) and crowdfunding platform ( www.afterword.co) generated, publicized, and then published the first series of CBT workbooks for Thai kids using well-designed comic characters to educate kids about 3 main emotions normally experienced in everyday life: mad, sad, and worry, and how they can use cognitive- behavioural skills to understand themselves and manage their negative feelings.
