• What would you like us to know about you?

  I did my Ph neuroscience with a focus on stress & emotions and how it affects our behaviour and learning (University Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona). In 2012 I got diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. In the middle of my chemo I decided to sign up for a triathlon which I finished 3 months after my treatment. In 2013 I started the non-profit initiative My Survival Story with the objective to document inspiring cancer survivors from around the world and share their stories online to empower other patients and families to cope with their own situation. Since then we have interviewed more than 35 people from 11 countries and varying socio-cultural and religious backgrounds and are now in the process to publish these videos and podcasts online. Our next objective is to find ways to investigate the impact of these survival stories on patients quality of life, their psycho-oncological set-up or their behaviour.
