Dr. Ilana Heintz is a Senior Scientist at Raytheon BBN Technologies, where she leads the text processing group on multiple language-understanding research programs. Recent programs have focused on merging information from multiple data sources and domains (text, images, video), applying natural language processing to cyber security applications, and understanding causality and other relationships between events as expressed in text. Ilana also leads machine learning and artificial intelligence initiatives at BBN, including the application of machine learning in domains as diverse as RF emitter identification, sonar ship classification, and malware identification.
