What would you like us to know about you?
Human-centered use of data and technology is my passion.
I like to think about the effective use of data and technology especially in service of people from traditionally under-served communities. I believe that the effective use of data can help governments make better, more equitable decisions and improve the transparency of those decisions.
I'm involved in a variety of projects including PUDL, the Portland Urban Data Lake - a pilot to collect and analyze urban data; PREPHub, an earthquake resilience project in conjunction with City of Portland, PGE and MIT; and PORTAL, the regional transportation data archive for the Portland, OR - Vancouver, WA metropolitan region.
I focus on equity, resilience and safety and I like to call my work Urban Data Insights.
